Our Strategic Plan
The TCN Strategic Plan guides program activities, allocates resources, and assesses organizational achievements. It is developed by the TCN Board of Directors and establishes the framework on which to build and implement our operational plan. The plan also includes the priorities set forth by Tennessee Board of Nursing (TBON) Scope of Services, and grant funding requirements and priorities.
The plan consists of four strategic goals representing Nursing Workforce Research, Nursing Education, Nursing Workforce Recruitment & Retention, and Sustainability.
- The TCN is the primary resource for nursing workforce data in Tennessee.
- TCN guides the implementation of a Nursing Education Master Plan for Tennessee using emerging educational strategies, resources and partnerships to ensure a qualified nursing workforce for the future.
- Develop a Master Plan for Nursing Workforce Recruitment and Retention in Tennessee.
- Secure TCN sustainability to ensure continued service toward our mission into the future
