Senator Rosalind Kurita is currently serving her second term in the Tennessee State Senate where she represents Montgomery, Cheatham, and Houston Counties.
Senator Kurita has already earned the respect of senior legislators. She serves on the Senate Ethics Committee that determines the code of conduct for their fellow Senators and the Senate Rules Committee that is responsible for recommending modification of the Senate Rules to the Senate.
The only R. N. in the Senate, Senator Kurita serves on the powerful Health and Human Resources Committee. She is Vice-Chairperson of the State and Local Government Committee and a member of the Senate Transportation Committee. She also serves on the Joint Oversight Committee on Worker's Compensation.
Senator Kurita maintains that most important duty is a commitment to serving her constituents and helping people. She wants citizens to have easy access to governmental process, because she truly believes in a government of the people.
