Jill Beason

Jill Beason, RN, BSN

Jill Beason RN, BSN, graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in 1979 and received her BSN
from East Tennessee State University. She has been at employed with St. Mary’s Health System since 1979
as a staff nurse, charge nurse, and managed care analyst for behavioral services. Her most cherished role as.
a nurse was as the nurse consultant for the Alzheimer’s Day Treatment Program at St. Mary’s, where she
learned the value of human dignity

Currently Jill is the Regional Leader for Community Services.  In her role Jill has been successful in working in partnership with other organizations, such as UT College of Nursing, Susan B. Komen Foundation, and East Tennessee Area Agency on Aging to improve the health of communities through education, research, prevention services and advocacy. She was honored to present examples of the collaborative efforts to the National Council on Aging annual conference, and Tennessee Public Health Association.

Jill is an at-large member to the East Tennessee Regional Health Council, the chair of the Union County Health Council, and, served as Tennessee Quality Award board examiner,1999.   Jill has served on the Rural Health Association of Tennessee’s Health Policy committee since 2001, and on the Board of Directors since 2004.
