Sam Maceri, MPA, DNSc, RN, NEA-BC

Sam Maceri is a registered nurse of over 30 years, and has experience in medical/surgical nursing, mental health nursing, education and administration.

Dr. Maceri holds undergraduate degrees in philosophy, divinity and nursing, a Masters degree in public administration, a Masters degree in nursing, and a Doctor of Nursing Science.  He is certified as a nurse executive, advanced, by the American Nurses Association Credentialing Center. 

Dr. Maceri is the Director of Education and Support for Patient Care Services at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and is responsible for the ongoing orientation, competency evaluation, staff development, inservice, continuing education for nursing.

In addition to his duties at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, he is adjunct faculty at Southwest Tennessee Community College, Baptist College of Health Science, the University of Memphis, and The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.  Dr. Maceri teaches Management, Leadership, Research, and Curriculum Design, and is a clinical instructor in Leadership and in Mental Health Nursing.
